My Story

Immigrating to the United States at the age of four, I was encouraged to pursue higher education as a means to break the cycle of poverty. As a first-generation college student, the journey was challenging—I faced the complexities of the college process with minimal guidance. Despite these hurdles, my determination led me to earn a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish, followed by a Master's in Counseling and Educational Psychology. These experiences shaped my understanding of the educational landscape and fueled my passion for helping others navigate it.

With over 12 years of experience in K-12 and higher education, I have dedicated my career to demystifying the college process for students. My expertise spans financial aid, college applications, understanding majors, decoding college terminology, dual enrollment, AP scores, ACT/SAT registration, and essential soft skills development. At Academic Access and Wellness, I have developed a unique college planner designed to keep students organized and focused on their goals. My mission is to transform the college journey into a manageable and rewarding experience, empowering students to pave the way for their future success.
